Damon looked down at her, a faint smile dancing on his lips "I can wait for you if you'd like" he said, obviously hearing their quick conversation.

Elena smiled slighty "If you do youll be waiting hear for an hour" Elena said smiling a little at the thought of Damon waiting for her

Damon shrugged slightly "I have plenty of time" he said "now run along and go act peppy" he added with a smile.

Elena laughed and went to the feild. They cheered for an hour. Elena was walking back to Damons car, when she reached the car she got in a moved the air conditioner so it was hitting her face.

Damon clenched his jaw "have fun?" he asked, his voice sounding slightly strained as he pulled out of the parking lot and onto the road.

"oh yeah" She said sarcasticly laughing. She noticed his jaw was clenched "Is there something wrong?" she asked

Damon lightly drummed his fingers on the steering wheel, he rolled down the window "nope" he said lightly his eyes watching the woods flash by while still being able to drive perfectly.

Elena frowned a little. She knew there was something about damon. She decided to ask him what she had wanted to for a while "whats with the disappearing act?" she asked him refering to this morning and yeasterday

Damon grinned and shrugged "its a habit of mine" he replied as he pulled into the gilbert's driveway.

Elena nodded "um, thanks for the ride" she said "would you like to come in" She asked

Damon shook his head "not this time I have somewhere to be" he said looking over at her.

Elena frowned a little "Umm..okay, maybe next time" She said getting out of the car. she Walked into the house and up to her room to take shower

Damon pulled out of the small driveway, the cars tires squealing as he sped down the road.

Elena woke up the next morning. She sighed and sat up in bed stretching

Damon sat in the school parking lot, chewing on his fingernail. He should have stayed in Italy . too many things had happened in this town and it was getting harder for him to resist the urge to kill one of the students at the high school.
