Your pets can't get jobs yet. Visit Hicksville (click Explore under Interact on the left sidebar) to buy land and seeds.

Hey you 3 look like sisters!!
And nanin, cPoints -- I found the games to be very helpful in gaining more points in the beginning. Stocks are also a good way, it's a bit of trial and error until you can figure out the highs and lows so I'd suggest watching them for a few days.

I like playing Scrambled Items, it is pretty easy right now because there are only so many items on the site
