For those of you who knew Irene, I'm saddened to convey the news that she passed away last night after being in the hospital for about a week. She had some heart problems that were not apparent before then. Those of you who know me know how much I thought of her, as much as many of you do. I think she would appreciate it if we took one message away from this -- live each day to the fullest, since you never know what the next day holds.

I was so very sorry read about this Linda, my heart goes out to you, her family and friends and everyone who loved and cared about her.

May the happy memories you have in your heart bring you comfort. My sincere condolences to all....

What a lady... She was bold, sharp, strong, and more than willing to stand up and fight whenever she felt the impulse!

Irene's entire family has got to be going through a very difficult time right now, but I hate to think of how Annie is doing with such a sudden loss...

Those of us who knew her, couldn't help but loving her. She was a very special lady, and I'm proud to have called her a friend!

There is no black clothing in our wardrobe. But I donned my darkest outfit to be in mourning at the passing of a great person.

I am so sorry to hear about this Linda. I know how close the two of you were. My sympathies to her family, you and your family and all her friends. I know she had many on here, including myself, that are mourning as well. We will all miss her.

Such sad news. I'm happy and proud to have known Irene even if it was only online. She was always such fun to talk to and really cared about people and touched many of us.
