This is just a bit of information for the real noobs. When you are pricing your shop it is not advisable to price a few cpoints below. If something is priced at 1000 and you price at 999, 990, or some such a lot of the shoppers will go ahead and buy the one for 1000. There has long been controversy over this issue. I myself will price it 1000 also and let the buyer chose. I also am one of the buyers that will skip over an item priced just a few cpoints below another. You can, of course, price your items anyway you wish I am just giving a heads up on why some of your items are not selling even though they are the "cheapest" priced.

Why would you not buy the cheapest?

Underpricing another shop owner by a few cpoints has been a long standing issue here. If you don't understand I can't really explain it so people would understand. I don't always buy the cheapest since I look to buy from shops of my ifriends and people I already know. I also watch the noobs in the forums and will buy from them at a much higher price to help them out. Suffice it to say that seeing items priced 899, 895, 890, 875 and such right under a 900 item is annoying to some people (me being one)LOL. Like I said it is a personal choice. You can price anyway you want and buy any item you wish. I was just trying to provide a bit of imformation.

I don't get this. Is it allowed to price what the real price is even if it's under 1000 cpoints?

You can price whatever price you want, don't worry.

I do think it is very nice of you to buy from just your friends, but I don't think that is very fair to other users. (This is your choice and is by no means against any rules, but I think that it's a little rude to everyone else).

I understand your complain about price undercutting by a few ipoints and it is very similiar to what happesn on "The price is right" tv show. I agree it is lame and that is why I price by items at least 200 cpoints cheaper than the current price.

I don't believe it is rude to buy from people I know. It is human nature. Given a choice of helping a friend or a stranger I'm sure most people would help the friend. Besides I didn't say I ONLY buy from people I know. If an item is priced way below another I don't much care whose shop it is, I will buy it. LOL. I was just talking about the ones where the prices were just within a few cpoints of each other.

I'd love to see a market/economy in real life where shopkeeper A prices 50% off or more of the next highest price. If two or three shopkeepers did the same thing, everything would be worthless in no time, and the shopkeepers wouldnt bother stocking anything. Now what happened here previously was people priced massively under others prices for the sole reason they didnt like being underpriced by 5 cP themselves. The item quickly became unprofitable, and hence useless and was retired. Then the n00bs complained they couldnt get the retired items to put in their gallery like the longer playing members. On one side is the arguement that "I just spent 2 hours repricing my shop and now when I look again someone else has priced under me by 5 cP, thats not fair, and Im sad now" to the other side of the arguement "That user has just cut the price of that item by 1000 cP and now anyone that prices under that makes at least 1000 cP less than they otherwise would have". So to the n00bs, price at whatever you like, I'll buy from you if you're even 1cP below the next price, because I really believe its better for CW that way.

I'll always buy the cheapest! Why wouldn't I?! I don't have many cpoints and am always looking for a bargain Put a smile on!

But I don't try to underprice other shops. I always make it the price that the real price is. Not the average price. The Real price. And I agree with Joe. I always buy the cheapest, even if it's my friend or not.

I buy the one on the top.
When I price, if the price was 999 cp, I'd price 990 cp Put a smile on!

I do notice sometimes that the price above me has "changed" to a price much further away then mine. I'm one of those ones that prices 5 or 10 below.. and believe me I hate when it's done to me cause I try to reprice/stock everyday and being underpriced is very annoying! lol BUT you can't control who buys where.. so I figure if a buyer out there has a problem with it they don't HAVE to buy from me.. that's really no problem. And then I just reprice it next time and sometimes make a little more on it in the long run. Put a smile on! Got no problems with that! lol
