Even if you aren't a teenager like myself, you probably know what chatspeak is. Here is the basic rundown--Chatspeak is like shortening a word or phrase for use online or in texting.
Lol is laugh out loud or lots of love
u is you
hru is how are you
ily is i love you
wasup is what is up
ttyl is talk to you later


et cetera. I think you get my point

Do you use chatspeak? How often? What are some of the words or phrases you replace with chatspeak? Do you use some uncommon chatspeak and can you share?

I do too, it makes texting so much easier, as long as the person on the other end understands

yup, because sometimes there is some pple that types pretty quick and i just want to reply them at the same time and so i use chatspeak alot so itwill be much quicker and easier.

I use chatspeak but I stoped recently because I think it is stupid, but i still say wuu2 or lol or omg and things like that

I don't use chatspeak on here, because I have the entire keyboard at my disposal

I don't use chatspeak unless I'm mocking someone

Oh that's pleasant, haha. I'm only fifteen, but I've weaned myself off of it. If I am in a hurry I'll use it, but I try not to. It annoys me when I'm reading over the texts later.

I only use a few words for chatspeak. lol and brb. I think that's basically it to tell you the truth, haha. I sometimes use ty, but I usually stick to Thank you instead.
