Palo was glaring at him through narrowed eyes, she didn't understand why he had been talking to the man that had nearly killed her.

Tandoori felt the cold glare that Palo sent him. He glanced over at her as he started building a fire. "You don't understand it, Palo. It's not like I could ignore him..."

"You could have tried" she snapped and bounded into the woods, her hair changing to a deep ebony color. Atrir pricked her ears and looked over at Tandoori "Ooh your in trouble" she said snickering slightly before following after her seething friend.

Tandoori hung his head for a moment. He let out a sigh, promising himelf to explain everything later. Right now, he had breakfast to make.

Atrir returned to the small camp a few minutes later, alone. "Well she's thoroughly upset" she reported, sitting down on a rotting log. She glanced up at Tandoori "she told me that to see you, the man who had saved her from dying talking to the man that had nearly poisoned her to death was terrifying to her" she added with a slight glare.

Phobos walked back into camp. "How'd everything go while I was gone?" he'd actually heard most of it while he was away, but didn't want to be a pain. He dumped the logs down and surrounded them with rocks, before trying to figure out how to light a fire that he couldn't see.

"absolutely great!" she said as she watched Phobos nearly light his hand on fire. She sighed and shoved the blind man away and quickly got a small fire going.

"I could've done it, I was right about to get it..." he mumbled. He sat down on a flat rock, warming his hands by the fire.

The doctor walked up, "And how are you all doing? Very good it Zeems? I was just out for a walk and I saw the oddest little man running around, he looked like the man you were speaking with earlier, Tandoori." he said with a dark glint in his eye.

Atrir stifled a yawn and poked at the fire with a small stick "is he near us?" she asked the doctor, watching the wood burn with great interest.

Tandoori stayed silent, staring at the fish he had started to grill on the fire. No one could understand the situation he was in...

Rotan watched the young girl with curiosity as she sat down near the river, throwing rocks into its blue depths. "I assure you he didn't want to talk to me" he said quietly stepping out and looking at her. Palo spun around a small rock in her hand, she narrowed her gaze at the man.

"I started the conversation, he ended it you shouldn't be so hard on him, he trying his best to keep you alive" Rotan added. "why are you defending him?" Palo spat back. Rotan shrugged "I may be a hunter Palo, but I do have a heart, well at least a little" the man replied with a smile and vanished again. Palo turned back to looked at the water rush y for sometimes, chewing on Rotan's words before she turned and headed back to camp.

Alyx had followed himW. hen Rotan reached his car, Alyx grabbed his wrist. "I want to join you."

Rotan turned his head slightly to look at the girl "that wouldn't be wise" he replied, his tone almost sounding sorrowful.

Alyx looked at him quizzically. "Eh?" She asked, obviously surprised.

"I'm not someone you want to be around" the man said, breaking free of her grip and sliding into his car.
