Rules Update?, October 02 2009 @ 8:09PM by
Think the rules should be updated? I noticed many accounts have been suspended while going through old forum posts. They do seem very short and too obscure.
Oh and. "Ignorance is the law is not license to break it" Who ever wrote that... Nevermind. It's actually. "Ignorance of the law is no excuse for breaking it" Makes more sense, right? |

Im not sure exactly what you are complaining about?
You were going through forum posts and noticed that many accounts are suspended...and this is a problem? User accounts are suspended for a reason... Also, what seems very short and obscure? The rule page is pretty long, if you ask me, and very clear. I do agree about the last part...looks like there might be a small typo there. You can post about those types of things in the Bug Tracker. |

The rules page is actually the shortest rules page I've ever seen for any game / forum. That is what is "very short." The "obscure" part is all the gray area - the bannable offenses not lists. A more well-defined code of conduct and reason why. *I've had experience developing mmos before*

Well I suppose if you don't think its clear enough, you can always take it up with an admin.
In my opinion, I think Bubbles and the other site admin trust people to use their common sense when it comes to this website. Don't be a jerk, play fairly, etc. And we do have a warning system. Users aren't just banned/suspended right away...they are warned multiple times and told what they are doing wrong. So, if they have a hard time figuring out what -not- to do, then thats probably for the best. At any rate...take it up with an admin or make a Suggestion/ |

And where would you suggest me to go to through that link? There isn't a suggestion for changing the rules. I was actually assuming an Admin would respond to this post, someone who can actually do something about it. I can only find shoutbox rules

An admin might respond to the post, but generally, when just one user thinks something ought to be changed...it doesn't go very far. I was trying to help you out, actually. If you make a suggestion and others agree with you, the admin are probably much more likely to take your idea/suggestion into consideration.
I do apologize if my attempts to help out offended you. |

Clarification of what? I fully understand what you are saying.

Obviously, you didn't at first. Oh, and where does it say in the rules that an avatar can't be naked? I mean, it doesn't. But I was told earlier that my naked avatar wasn't allowed... Which raised the question of, how would any body know that unless they were found out like I was when speaking to the mods? I use mod as a blanket term for any staffer. Or, why does CW allow you to go naked if it is against the rules? - They were kind enough though to give some free clothing. I only kept the jacket.

Are you still having trouble locating the actual rules, rather than the shoutbox rules? I saw in an earlier post that you were...here are both links
![]() Shoutbox rules - http://www.creatureworld.net/shoutboxrules.php Regular Rules - http://www.creatureworld.net/rules.php Hope that helps! |

No, I can locate both rules. They are easily located below the shoutbox and in the tertiary navigation. What I was talking about was in your suggestions link, where would I go to suggest a changing in the site rules? There was only an option to suggest changes to shoutbox rules.
*** Oh! "Post an Idea" ^_^ I see that now. The other links were of previous suggestions, right? |

Yep, thats correct. All the links you see are suggestions that are either still active, vetoed or implemented. Suggesting things really works around here, I do it when I have a big idea that I want others opinions on.

It's stated very clearly. Perhaps you only did a quick scan and didn't thoroughly read the site rules. 'Human Avatars/Characters should be fully clothed at all times.' |

ah, my "find" failed me ^_^. i think i just looked up "nude" and "naked". still haven't defined what fully clothed means. there are so many people in just their underwear.... i think it would be better worded if not allowed to be naked / nude or aallow less than what you start with. honestly i think the default clothing should be the default body and when you add anything to it it automatically swaps out the default (clothed) body with the default (naked), changes for females, need two parts, top half and bottom half.

It's so much easier to just eat the faces of anyone who opposes or disobeys me.
