Why Do Shop Prices Change?, September 17 2009 @ 8:03PM by
I don't remember what exactly the price of anything is, but I am sure that they change. I think things like the suit jacket have actually gone down and things like the bales of hay have gone way up. Does anyone know why this is?

I think it may be the availability. As something becomes less rare, the price goes down. Does that help any?

As far as "official" shops go, I do not believe the prices -ever- change in them. You know how you can search for an item, and every once in a while it will come up with a "here is the price in official shops" and then below it, user shop prices? And also, when you click on an item in your inventory, I believe it gives an official shop price. Those prices should not change...which is why its generally much cheaper to find the newest squishie or gumball in the official shops, rather than user shops
Now, user shops are a different story. Those prices defiantly change with demand, etc. |

But that's just the thing. It used to be that the suit jacket was something like 2,000 cPoints in Fashion Passion. I just bought it for something like 1,400 in Fashion Passion. The bale of hay used to be something like 1,400 in the Farmers Market, and I just bought one for 2,100 in the Farmers Market. I know they are different, because I have that auto fill-in thing and it didn't come up with the prices of items I've bought dozens of. It's not a big deal. I'm just curious, because, like Chedori, I thought they never changed.

Official shop prices do change. I am not sure why. It could have something with how many are available on the site or some such. They have always gone up and down.
