God Of Death story, February 27 2009 @ 9:38PM by
**built off the RP i started**
A group of teenagers 14-20 that hang out together all the time, they worship a different god, His name is Santhos. Santhos is the god of death. That is what the Deathers (the name of their group) stand for. They have seen the God before there for they know he is real. But the problem is he is supposed to come every time the bunch has a ritual and he does until one day when they have their Halloween ritual and he does not come. What’s happening? Arabella looked up at the midnight sky and yelled into it “Thy god come to me now show yourself!” Arabella yelled throwing green sparkling dust into the midnight black sky. She smiled as it all disappeared into the sky. Devin ran up next to Arabella as he saw the green dust he immediately knew what she must have be doing. His wavy brown hair was being tossed like a ball by children in the wind, and his blue eyes reflecting the moonlight. His eyes traveled to Rosmie who was lying in a tree by the river with a silver knife that caught the moonlight when she moved it right. She looked over at the moon and bowed her head slightly to pray. “Is it midnight yet?” Arabella asked “No, 20 till.” He said quietly “Ok, good go gather everyone while check over my speech one more time.” Arabella said then looked one last time at the moon then walked over to her small box of things: one cross with a thumb print of blood- what you had to do at your first ritual, a gold bowl is what she took out right now. She walked over to where she was holding the ritual and stuck the cross into the ground and laid the bowl on the ground in front of where everyone would be sitting. Arabella looked at all of them begging to gather around her they lined up: Rosmie, Craline, Zonny, Jasmine, Doral, Jamie, James, Sean, Evie, Dylan, Hayden and Dustin. They all looked at me for direction as Devin walked up to Arabella and then walked to the front of the line. “You in the name of Santhos may sit.” Arabella said as they all sat down on their knees looked at her again. “We will begin by all making a donation to the blood bowl,” she smiled watching each of them “I will pass the bowl around you each have a knife cut yourself on your right wrist let some blood drip into the bowl then pass it on,” She ordered as she gave the bowl to Rosmie. She watched them cut then wait for it to drip. “Why did you join this group? That is what I would like you to think about while I talk tonight,” She said “As you stare into the midnight icy blue sky what do we see? Not Santhos and why not, may we ask, well are we not good enough for you to show yourself to day after day ritual after ritual? Do you not care for us anymore? We do not think that but we must any way, we want to see you again! Give us messages tell us what you want us to do and to whatever degree we will carry out your request!” She said bowing her head. “Pray, to Santhos now!” She screamed at them they did as told. When they looked back up at her she was looking at the very spot where Santhos used to always appear to: no one was there. Arabella took out her knife and gritted her teeth as she sliced her palm. She smiled as the blood dripped down off her palm. She slipped her knife back into her back pocket. “You may all leave, if anyone would like to speak with me for some reason come on.” She said in her normal voice as she licked off the blood on her palm. Dylan came up to her, his brown hair shimmering in the moonlight and his brown eyes reflecting everything. “Arabella, I have to go away for a few days, my mom’s in the hospital and since I don’t have a dad I need to go see her, is it ok?” He looked scared to ask “Family is first, always, even in Santhos’s eyes.” Arabella smiled at him as she thanked her and walked away towards the river. She was watching him as he left the finally realized that she was supposed to be doing something. She took the gold bowl of blood and walked over to the river. She tipped the bowl into the river. The water right below her turned red then pink then white again as the blood washed away she stared at it as it all went down the river. She stared at the moonlight for a second then walked back to the wooden cross her hand was on the middle of the cross but she couldn’t move it, it was like someone was holding it there not letting her go until she figured out something. She looked on both sides of her, she tried to pull her hand away again and this time she was successful at it. She was looking at her hand as if it was not herself and that was not her hand when Sean came up to me. “Is this a bad time, boss?” Sean asked “What- on no go ahead I’m fine.” “I was thinking that I could maybe go into town, soon to get some more ritual things and stuff would that be ok?” “Yes, yes, sure I think that would be good to get out of this range, just for a few days though, maybe all of you should go visit your families, I’d stay here since I’m an orphan and that’s why I started this group.” “Well I think we should, but you should come with us, there’s really no reason for you to stay-” “Sean look I’m going to stay here and so are all of us- but you are going to town to buy some new ritual things!” Arabella yelled “Oh…that’s ok with me then, I’ll go tonight…or would you rather it be tomorrow night?” He asked “Yes, I’m good with tonight.” She said as she walked away from him “Good, well goodbye then.” He smiled bowed his head and walked away. Arabella walked over to where she saw Rosmie standing on the other side of the river holding her knife up to the water, the moonlight was shining from the river to the blade. |
